*The Story of Prophet Salih* tells of the people of Thamud, a skilled and prosperous nation who carved splendid homes in mountains yet turned to idol worship. Allah sent Prophet Salih (peace be upon him) to call them to worship Him alone and live righteously. As a sign, Allah brought forth a miraculous she-camel from solid rock, with instructions to let her graze freely and not harm her. In arrogance, the disbelievers killed the camel, defying Allah’s command. As a result, a mighty earthquake destroyed them, sparing only Salih and the believers. The story warns against pride, disbelief, and defiance of Allah’s signs.
