Prophet Nuh (AS) was sent by Allah to guide his people to worship Him alone. When they rejected his message and continued wrongdoing, Allah commanded Nuh (AS) to build a huge ark. He took believers and pairs of every animal onto it. A great flood covered the land, destroying the disbelievers. The ark rested on Mount Judi when the waters receded, and the believers began a new life.
