The story is about a a family of three sons, each of which inherits something from their father. The eldest son is left the fathers mill, the middle son a donkey and the youngest son gets his fathers cat. People can imagine the younger sons unhappiness - the older brothers were left things they can make a life with while this son received a cat. This is no ordinary cat though. The reader (or listener) gets to follow Puss as he turns his new owners life around. The things Puss does will bring laughter and in short, it's just a fun story.
