| General note | *The Story of Prophet Hud* recounts how Allah sent Prophet Hud (peace be upon him) to the powerful tribe of ‘Ad, who lived in the land of Ahqaf and were blessed with strength, wealth, and lofty dwellings. They became arrogant, worshipped idols, and denied Allah’s favors. Prophet Hud called them to worship Allah alone and abandon their pride, warning them of His punishment, but they mocked and rejected him. When they persisted in disbelief, Allah sent a fierce, destructive wind for several days that wiped them out completely, saving only Hud and the believers. The story is a reminder of the consequences of arrogance and the necessity of obedience to Allah. |
