500 ## - GENERAL NOTE |
General note |
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is a classic fairy tale that originated from German folklore, famously popularized by the Brothers Grimm. The story follows Snow White, a beautiful princess whose jealous stepmother, the Evil Queen, orders her death because Snow White’s beauty surpasses hers. Snow White escapes and finds refuge with seven dwarfs who live in a cottage in the woods. The Evil Queen, however, tricks Snow White into eating a poisoned apple, causing her to fall into a deep, magical sleep. The spell is broken by a prince, who kisses Snow White and awakens her. The Evil Queen is ultimately defeated, and Snow White and the prince live happily ever after. The story explores themes of jealousy, innocence, goodness overcoming evil, and the power of love. |

Summary, Abstract, Review |
Snow White, a beautiful princess, is hated by her stepmother, the Evil Queen, who is jealous of Snow White’s beauty. The Queen orders Snow White to be killed, but the huntsman who is sent to carry out the task cannot do it. Instead, Snow White escapes into the forest, where she finds a cottage belonging to seven dwarfs. They welcome her into their home and warn her to be cautious of the Queen. The Evil Queen, however, learns that Snow White is still alive and disguises herself as an old peddler woman. She gives Snow White a poisoned apple, causing her to fall into a deep sleep. The dwarfs, unable to wake her, place Snow White in a glass coffin. A prince, who has fallen in love with Snow White, comes to see her. He kisses her, breaking the spell, and Snow White awakens. The Evil Queen is punished for her wickedness, and Snow White and the prince are married, living happily ever after. |
